Eugene Franklin "Tony" Morrison

Fort Worth, Texas - Eugene Franklin "Tony" Morrison passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026. Tony was born March 14, 1926 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. His parents were Charles M. Morrison and Emma E. Morrison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Spies Morrison who died on June 7, 2007. Barbara and Tony were married on September 27, 1962. Tony lived all of his life in the Fort Worth area. He attended Fort Worth public schools and attended Texas Christian University. He served in the US Navy in World War 2 from 1943 to 1946. After his military service, Tony was a businessman owning Lancaster Motors, the Blue Note Club and Debonair Beauty Salon. Eventually he worked for General Dynamics and Ling Temco Vought. After working in the private sector, he worked for the US Civil Service with assignments in The US Department of Agriculture, Federal Aviation Administration and US Corps of Engineers. His biggest interest was in racing homing pigeons. He kept a pigeon loft at his home and participated in races for almost all of his life. He was a member of the Fort Worth Racing Pigeon Club and the West Wing Racing Pigeon Club. Tony is survived by nephews Richard Morrison and Chase Morrison and three great-nephews.
