It is with a heavy heart that I share a few words about Diane, whom I had the privilege of meeting through her husband Tom-my dear friend and beloved fraternity brother of over 50 years.
I first met Diane in the spring of 2025 at their home in Fort Worth. From the moment I walked in, she was warm, gracious, and welcoming. We spent time talking about life, friendship, and plans to get together again-this time with my wife Judy, whom Tom knew from our days at the University of Texas. It was clear immediately that Diane had a special gift for making people feel at ease and valued.
Though I only had the opportunity to know her briefly, her kindness and spirit left a lasting impression. Diane lived a remarkable life-full of faith, adventure, and deep love for her family and friends. She reflected a life well-lived and anchored in purpose.
As people of faith, we take comfort in knowing Diane is now with our Heavenly Father. We hold onto the hope and promise that we will meet again.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom and their children during this difficult time. Diane will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, generosity, and faith will live on in all who knew her.
God bless Diane, and God bless the Hanley family.
