Carol Ranck Obituary

Carol McManus Ranck

April 5, 2026

Crowley, Texas - Carol Ann McManus Ranck went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Crowley Cemetery, 300 N. Hampton Rd., Crowley, TX 76036.

Carol Ann was born January 31, 1943 in El Dorado, AR, to Marion "Daddy Chip" and Elreba "Momma E" McManus. She grew up in Thornton, AR, until 1957 when her family moved to Fort Worth, TX, where she later graduated from Paschal High School. Carol Ann was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church for the majority of her life. Carol Ann devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a nurse. She was adventurous, fun loving, and God fearing living her life with unwavering faith. In 1962 she met the love of her life, Ronald David Ranck, and they were married on December 22, 1963. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and simple joys. She enjoyed the piano, arts and crafts, teaching others how to build and grow things, and caring for the animals around the house. She especially cherished the time spent with her family in Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald D. Ranck of 62 years; her sister, Sandra McManus-Sinclair, and her parents Daddy Chip and Momma E. She is survived by her two children: daughter, Sandra Sikes of Crowley, Texas, and son, David Ranck (Karen) of Seagoville, TX; her siblings, Marion H. McManus II (Kathy) of Eldorado, AR, and Denise M. Taylor (Gerald) of Eldorado, AR; as well as four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a slew of family and friends.
