Bedford, Texas - Beverly Telford Winchell, age 88, of Bedford, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2026, in her home at Brookdale Eden Estates. She was born in DeKalb, Texas on October 1, 1937.
Beverly married her high school sweetheart, Charles Winchell, on September 1, 1957. The two settled in Fort Worth, Texas, and Beverly would complete her teaching degree from Texas Christian University.
Beverly enjoyed serving God and others at Saginaw Park Baptist Church in Blue Mound, Texas. She loved teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, as well as singing in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene Winchell; her parents, Emma Frances Butler Telford and Dallas Gunar Telford, Sr.; and her brother, Dallas Gunar Telford, Jr.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Edna Telford Boice, and Julie Telford Canter; her children, Sarah Harris, Amy Ensminger and David Ensminger, Mary Kay Winchell and Lynn Bahr, and Madison Winchell III, and Jennifer Winchell; her grandchildren, Laura Kammerer, Jessica Carwile, Kate Rivas, Madison Winchell, Morgan Winchell, Emma Winchell, and Charlee Winchell; and her great-grandchildren, Eden, Eli, and Aaron Kammerer, Brooklyn and Skylar Rivas, Averey May and Denver Wayne Meier, and Knox Crouch.
Beverly's family rejoices in the assurance that she is now in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Services will be held in Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107, on March 27, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. with Mitchell Land to officiate.
A graveside service will be held at Woodmen Cemetery in DeKalb, Texas, on March 28, 2026, at 1 p.m.
