Ann Biggs Obituary
Ann Reynolds Biggs, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026. She was 75 years old.
On April 8, 2026, Ann's ashes will be laid to rest in the memorial garden at First Presbyterian Church in a small family service. A public memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 2pm.
Ann was born in Houston, TX on June 26, 1950. She was the first child of Fred Samuel Reynolds and Jeanette Alexander Reynolds. When Ann was 3, the family moved to Fort Worth, where Ann spent most of her life. At age 7, Ann gained a younger brother, Fred Norman Reynolds. Ann always remembered the state of anticipation and excitement she felt when her parents brought Fred home from the hospital.
Ann graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1968. She then attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. At Texas, Ann majored in geography and developed a lifelong professional and personal passion for travel. She graduated in 1972 and remained a passionate Texas Longhorn fan for the rest of her days. Ann later served for many years on the Liberal Arts Council at UT.
As a young adult, Ann worked for several travel agencies. She traveled extensively around the globe and even flew on the Concorde in the late 70s. Eventually Ann started her own travel company which focused on custom travel to the British Isles, "Especially Britain." Ann served as president of Skal International, a global tourism network. Ann was also a Certified Travel Counselor and earned a masters in Scottish Tourism. She was outstanding at planning travel, whether for clients, friends, family, or her church. She was organized, and her taste in the finer things in life could always be trusted.
Ann was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church. It was there that she met her husband, William Renshaw Biggs ("Bill"), and it was there that the two were married on September 6, 1980. On October 10, 1981, Ann gave birth to twin boys, William Reynolds Biggs and Christopher ("Chris") Norman Biggs. At the time of their birth, William and Chris were the biggest twins in the history of Tarrant County. From what her children have learned, Ann showed great fortitude in this endeavor, though she did not like to talk about it!
Ann was first and foremost a mom. She did more for her boys William and Chris than can be put into words. She gave everything she had to her boys. She provided steadfast selfless love and support, never her putting herself first. Ann now has three beautiful grandchildren, Merrill (10), William (8) and Maxwell (5), all of whom were baptized at First Presbyterian Church.
Ann was a proud resident of Fort Worth. Ann was active in the Junior League and Jewel Charity Ball organizations, and she served on the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Symphony. Later in life, Ann served for many years as the wedding coordinator at First Presbyterian Church.
Ann is preceded in death by Bill, who died in 2022 following a prolonged illness. It was during these later years where Ann showed the greatest strength, resolve, and devotion. She never complained or felt sorry for herself. She lived each day with quiet humility and stoicism. Ann lived selflessly, as she always did, putting her husband, children, and grandchildren in front of herself. Even in the most challenging times during her final years, Ann maintained a positive outlook and appeared content with her life. She had built a wonderful family, and for Ann that was everything.
Ann is survived by her sons Chris and William, Jessica, her daughter in law, and her three grandchildren Merrill, William Ronald, and Maxwell. She is also survived by her brother Fred, her sister in law Michele, and her two nieces Lauren and Courtney.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth.
