Geraldine Devereaux Faus

Geraldine Devereaux Faus of Wasilla, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 100, in Wasilla, Alaska. Born on January 29, 1925, Geraldine lived a century filled with vigor and grace.

Smart and sassy, Geraldine was a beloved figure in her community and family. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Yould; son-in-law, Eric Yould; daughter-in-law, Carol Faus; grandchildren, Brian Faus, Catherine Faus, and Jessica Faus Leber; three great-grandsons; her niece, Paulette Swofford; and nephews, Patrick Devereaux and Charles Tapp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard John Faus; son, John Charles Faus; her parents, Catherine and John Devereaux; and her brothers, Patrick and John Devereaux.

Geraldine was a hard worker, dedicating many years to her role as a medical office administrator before her retirement. Her commitment extended beyond her professional life into her personal interests. She was proficient in sewing, reading, playing the cello and piano, gardening, and was an active member of her church choir. Geraldine also enjoyed entertaining friends and family, bringing fun and laughter to all gatherings.

Before relocating to Alaska to be closer to her daughter, Geraldine was a long time member of Our Lady of the Wayside church. She enjoyed her participation in the church choir and various neighborhood activities.

A memorial to celebrate Geraldine's life will be held at a later date.

She will be remembered for her sharp wit, compassionate spirit, and the profound impact she had on those around her.
