I know all your friends refer to you as Pete but since we started school together you've always been John Henry. I won't indulge in all the good times we had growing up but I will say we did have some fun with you racing in that old Nova and me running that Chevelle up and down Summerville Main Street. Some secrets we will just carry on to the next life. On a final note I guess with you leaving us so soon at least there'll be some fish in the river left to catch because you did your best to empty it.

Pete the first time I met you about 19 or so years ago . You have always from then and you will always keep me laughing and always on an adventure in life . "Ain´t nothing chicken but the bill"!!. Bet right now I´ve got you cracking up . Now you and Evelyn can both help me find all my treasures and just maybe , you might just buzz by me when Jc and me are on an adventure. And show me some of your treasured spots . . I promise never to tell !! Happy hunting and I know you´ll pop in from time to time to keep us laughing . Thanks for being such a special friend . And I´ll promise to keep driving Jc crazy . And don´t worry I´ll keep the laughs going . Love you !!

It is with a heavy and deeply saddened heart that I share the passing of one of my dearest friends, John Henry "Pete" Reeves Jr., whose remarkable spirit will continue to inspire me. Pete has always been and always will be one of the most exceptional, talented, and captivating individuals I've ever met. We have lost one of the greatest "singing, guitar playing, joke & storytelling, fisherman" of our lifetime! I'll always cherish his memory and continue to draw strength from his legacy.
Know that I´ll always love you and how terribly missed you are already brother!
