Clarence Dubay Obituary

BRISTOL

Clarence Joseph Dubay, Sr., 88, of Bristol, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1937 in Van Buren, ME, son of the late Martin and Agnes (Dionne) Dubay. Clarence was the loving husband of Rose (Chartier) Dubay for 67 years. Clarence was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather who found joy in the simple, meaningful things in life. He had a deep love for gardening and yard work, taking great pride in keeping a pristine yard. He could often be found at his workbench, happily fixing, building, or tinkering with whatever project caught his interest. Clarence and Rose also enjoyed going to tag sales together. His steady presence, hardworking nature, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Besides his wife, Clarence is survived by his sons Clarence J. Dubay, Jr. of Bristol, Kenneth Dubay and his wife Lisa of Waterford; daughters Belinda Hazelton of Bristol, Teresa Fiorillo and her fianc Ron LaFountain of Bristol; grandchildren Nina Dubay, Jennifer Cole and her husband Brad, Jon Hazelton and his wife Trish, Michael Fiorillo, James Dubay and his wife Chanel, Paul Dubay, Miranda Hazelton; great-grandchildren Sophia Cole, Charlotte Cole, Olivia Peach, Mark Hazelton, Margaret Hazelton, Lucas Dubay, Gianni Dubay; Siblings Rita Facchini of MA, Cecile Martin of Bristol, Jeanette Noe of NJ, Fidele Dubay and his wife Nel of Bristol, Philip Dubay of ME and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Clarence is predeceased by his son-in-law Mark Hazelton and siblings Roger Dubay, Roland Dubay, Leo James Dubay, Beatrice Rossignol and Yvette Nadeau. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until a funeral home service that will start at 5:00 p.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave. Bristol.
