Diane Miller Obituary

Diane Carol Miller, formerly of Ann Arbor, passed away in Rio Rancho, NM on January 11, 2026 at the age of 87. Born on March 24, 1938, in Canton, OH, to LeRoy F. and R. Ferne (Rimer) Clark, Diane was raised in Algonac, MI where she graduated in 1956 as class valedictorian. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1960, she married her college sweetheart James E. Miller on June 24, 1961.

In her adult years, Diane worked as a physical therapist during the 1960s and lived in several places while Jim served in the Navy. The two returned to Michigan where they lived in the Detroit area and Midland before settling in Ann Arbor where they lived for 39 years. She was active in First United Methodist Church, the Ann Arbor City Club, PEO Michigan, and the Ann Arbor Thrift Shop.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jim, and her parents. She is survived by sons John (Rachel) of Albuquerque, NM and Brad (Manda) of Wentzville, MO as well as grandchildren Emmelinne, Stephen, Ashley, Coler, and Olivia. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved each of those roles dearly.
