Nikki .....I am so sorry for the loss of Marilyn. I knew her in California and been to her home several times enjoying the company of her daughter, Nikki. I knew her devotion to helping children. She was a true Blessing in their lives. We went to Disneyland with my son when Nikki was about 5. I knew the family from working at a local church where Nikki attended. Marilyn had a heart of gold and through these years..thought of her now and then. Prayers and thoughts to her family.

You will always be remembered Grandma Marylin. Thank you for everything you did for me from fostering me to allowing me to visit when I wanted to come see you. You lived such an amazing life and I couldn't be for thankful for everyday I spent with you.

I was so surprised & saddened to see the obituary for Marilyn in our local paper, East Bay Times yesterday. I remember meeting Marilyn & Nicole at the Menlo Park Presbyterian Nursery School where my daughter Caryn was attending. As Nicole & Caryn became friends, so did Marilyn & I. As I grew to know her a little, I was in awe of what she & Bob had done throughout their lives...not only raising their own children, but taking care of so many foster children. Bob...you & Marilyn are so special and your children, grandchildren & foster children are blessed to have had you both in their lives. Nicole...I'll always remember you as one of the more precocious little girls I've met. Your mom had incredible patience when you wanted to start your day at 5:00 or 6:00 am when it was DARK! THAT alone was so impressive! As my late husband would say: Celebrate! Marilyn had such a long and amazing life & left behind a fabulous legacy...
