Janet (Jan) Katherine Blubaugh died peacefully at home in Lawrence, KS at the age of 80.

Jan is survived by her husband, Jon Blubaugh, son, David Lamb of Houston, daughter, Dana (Tom) Magnusson of Cypress, TX, son, Don (Jamie) Lamb of Austin, TX, and sister, Laura Freeman of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Peggy Linden, step-son, Jon Allan Blubaugh, and half-sister Elizabeth (Betty) Clair.

Jan was born on April 22, 1938 in McPherson, KS to Raymond and Peggy Linden. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Wichita, KS in 1956. She married Bob Lamb and was blessed with three children and six grandchildren, Travis, Chelsea, Cheyne, Chloe, Ben and Daniel, whom she adored. After many years, she married her former high school classmate, Jon Blubaugh, and spent her final 35 years with him. She welcomed her step children Kate, Karen, Carol, and Michael into her heart enthusiastically as well as their children Brian, Alissa, Mallory, Jennifer, Kelsey, Morgan, Adam, Eric and Caroline. She was a successful business woman in Houston owning her own hair salon for several years. She loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Asia, Europe, Alaska and South America. She was also an accomplished sailor with adventures on Lake Superior, the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Coast.

Jan loved her family immensely. She was a lovely person who welcomed everyone into her circle.

You were the best sister a girl could ask for and the sweetest person I've ever known, my heart hurts so bad that you're gone but so glad God took you out of your suffering. Tell Mom and Dad hello for me and give all the kids a hug. I LOVE YOU, JAN
