Agnes C. Scott, Lawrence - 1929 – 2017
Memorial services for Agnes C. Scott, 88, Lawrence will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Private burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Kansas City, MO.
She was born January 26, 1929 in Lorraine, KS, the daughter of William C. and Matilda Stratmann Janssen. She had lived in Lawrence since 1969.
She attended secretarial school in Hutchinson, KS. She was secretary and Vice-President of Carol Lee Products for 35 years. She married O. Lee Scott on Nov. 29, 1952 in Holyrood, KS.
He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother Donald.
She is survived by her three daughters, Debra Kerr and her husband Scott, Lincoln, NE, Rebecca Ricketts and her husband Timothy, Ottawa and Lisa Fredrickson and her husband Kevin, Lawrence; two sons, David Scott and his wife Rhonda and William Scott, Westwood; sister, Imogene Kinast, Hutchinson; 13 grandchildren, Daniel Kerr, Lincoln, NE, Bethany Barr and her husband Jason, Lincoln, NE, Marc Ricketts and his wife Erika, Overland Park, Matthew Ricketts and his wife Heather, Olathe, David Ricketts, Lawrence, Derek Scott and his wife Aindrea, Brooklyn Park, MN, Katrina Chatman and her husband Michael, Lawrence, Emily Scott, Denver, CO, Laura Porter and her husband David, Syracuse, NY, Abby Scott, Salt Lake City, UT, Amanda Nagengast and her husband Will, Lawrence, 2nd Lt. John Fredrickson, Quantico, VA, and James Fredrickson, Lawrence; and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20th at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
The family suggests memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Nature Conservatory and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
