Shawna Allison-Leslie, 60, a beloved Wife, Stepmother, Sister and friend passed away on December 3, 2017 with family at her side. Shawna was born on January 11, 1957, daughter to Morgan and Opal Allison in Lawrence, KS where she grew up and attended Lawrence High School and then on to The University of Kansas. After school, Shawna enjoyed a full career in marketing for the Architectural and Construction Industry.
Shawna married Greg Leslie in 2000. The two enjoyed spending time at their home in Scottsdale, Arizona where they golfed, enjoyed the outdoors and escaped the cold Kansas City winters. Shawna loved to golf and when she wasn't playing with husband, Greg, she loved playing with some of her many friends at Shadow Glen. She was also an avid KU Jayhawks fan and never missed watching a basketball game. In addition to her Jayhawks, she loved the KC Royals and enjoyed watching all their baseball games. Shawna will be remembered for her fun loving personality, contagious laugh and immense compassion for her family and friends.
Shawna is survived by her loving husband, Greg Leslie and Stepchildren Tayler and Sarah Leslie. She is also survived by her Mother, Opal Allison, Brothers Garran and Rodney Allison, Sister Zee Button, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Dec. 12 from 11:00 to 12:00 pm at Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Memorial Gardens (11200 Metcalf Ave. Overland Park, KS 66210). Visitation will be before the service at 9:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be in Lawrence, KS at Memorial Park Cemetery. Shawna passed away from advanced stages of Pancreatic Cancer. my sympathies to the family. I went to school with Shawna from 7th grade thru high school graduation. She was such a wonderful girl and i was very proud to know her. May God's love comfort you, and may you always keep her alive in your hearts.

I keep waiting for your text message back and I am still praying for you Shawna I miss your smile and the way you call Joan "Mom", the way you said SaRAH, the way you teased Mark because he's older..... Our family chain is broken and it won't be the same without you. I am thankful you are no longer in pain and I know in my heart you are in good hands up in heaven, and in a much better place that we can only imagine. you will always be in our hearts, until we meet again Love u, Love you back!

Please accept my deepest condolences. Although I did not know Mrs. Leslie personally, I was moved by her zest for life. May your family experience God's comfort thru the support of family, friends, and soothing words from the Holy Scriptures.
