I am so grateful for the faithful and committed years that Edgar spent coming weekly to listen to my second graders read at Veritas Christian School. He listened to eighteen years of first and second graders building fluency. He was so patient and kind! While he was still able to travel, he would always return with multiple pictures to share with the students from wherever he had been and always brought candy and new pencils on special days. He left a lasting imprint on the lives of many children as they stumbled through their first years of reading. I am so grateful for his help as are the other teachers he blessed! We rejoice that he is in heaven and is no longer suffering, but is safely in the arms of Jesus! We pray for God to pour out his comfort on his family and friends!
God bless you!

The end of an era:a gentleman without a harsh word for anyone. He and Betty Spalsbury made a good team-teaching pair.

In 1968-69 Jim was the principal at Valley Falls High School and I taught journalism and English there. Getting to know Ed Krieger was one of the highlights of our time there. He was conscientious, principled, dedicated, and determined that his students would have his best effort every day. Ed was a gentleman and a scholar.
