Henry H. "Hank" Asher
Henry H. "Hank" Asher IV, 73, passed away October 19, 2014 at the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center, Sierra Vista, Arizona after a brief illness. Hank retired after many years in the cable television marketing business, moving to Sierra Vista in 2007. Hank graduated from Lawrence High School in 1959 and was an all-state tackle during the LHS football glory years. He earned an undergraduate degree, and later, after serving in the U.S. Army Reserves, his MBA at the University of Kansas. Hank was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Henry H. Asher, MD (1944) and his mother, Berenice Asher, RN (1963). He is survived by his brother, Bob Asher (Marie), nephew, Bob Asher Jr. (Renee), niece, Amy Asher (Arian), all of Kansas City, Missouri. Hank will also be greatly missed by his K-9 Kids, Beau and Dixie.
Services will be scheduled at a later date.

Henry was my friend, I met him in the 7th grade. He did some things for me that only he and I knew about. To me he was an example of the scripture Matthew 25:35, For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.

I am glad we all got to visit with him at our 50th LHS reunion. He seem to be enjoying retirement. He will be missed by all.

I was also a school mate from Cordley Elementary on thru HS. He was a good friend all those years. Was great to see Henry again at our LHS 50th reunion.

I am so sorry to hear of Henry's passing and so glad that I got to visit with my friend at the LHS 1959 50th Class Reunion. Henry had been one of my first friends in kindergarten at Cordley School. God Speed Henry!!
