To my best friend,
Tyler, I miss you friend. You have been a part of my life for over 2 decades. I will always miss you. I will never forget when we became friends. Just a couple of kids in school talking about ours dreams of rodeo and when we grow up being cowboys. I will never forget the lifelong friendships forged on the road traveling to and competing in rodeos. We never won a dime, but the memories are priceless. The crazy road trips we had and the sites we got to see. We were just a couple of kids living our dreams together one rodeo at a time. For all those years we were never apart, spending practically every day together. I will never forget the branding at Uncle Steeples or the Chris Ledoux concerts at the Rooks County Fair. Every November we would sneak behind the chutes at The American Royal and hang out with our heroes, one of the best memories was meeting Chris Ledoux and shaking his hand. No matter what happened I knew we would be together. As we grew up, our dreams of being world champion cowboys got put on the back burner for reality and real jobs.
Tyler I will never forget when you told me that you had a calling to join the Marines, you did all you could to get me to join with you. I supported you and I told you I wanted to be a State Trooper. No matter where in the world our jobs took us we still had the time to speak on the phone and catch up on old times. As we traveled down separate roads we both met our wives and started families. I figured we would grow old together and tell our kids about our wild adventures. We were both as stubborn as they come, but no matter how mad we were at each other we could always sit down and talk. I will miss our late night conservations on the tailgate and your untamed spirit.
You were and will forever be family and my brother. I always told you that you were the brother I never had. We played, fought and had our disagreements through out life. But no matter what happened we were brothers. I will never forget you and I look forward to joining you some day on that big ranch in heaven. I know you will be waiting with a good horse and living the life we always dreamed about.
My god bless you and Good Ride Cowboy, Good Ride
