My very long and rich friendship with Ann is filled with memories which I cherish. We met at the KS Folklife Festival in Manhattan when she was down from Michigan campaigning for John. On my visit to Michigan I met Jack, and got a glimpse into their life there. I still have the potosi rock from our swim in Lake Michigan. She lived at my house while Jack was trying to sell their house in Michigan. We drove daily together to Topeka to work. We decided to have a jam session at Cedar Crest while John was on his first trip to China. The photo I have of Ann and Mike Rundle dancing in the entryway captures her lovely spirit- I am picturing her "swingin her partners" - her new and old friends in the world beyond. I feel so grateful to have these memories and many more.
