Pauleta Kay Valdois Mickley graduated from this life on November 14, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her family. A service to celebrate this amazing life will be held at 11:30 am Monday, November 19, at Maranatha Chapel in Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held before the service at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Burden (Kansas) Cemetery on Tuesday, November 20 at 1:00 pm.
Pauleta leaves behind an admiring family and a host of friends who were the hallmark of her life. Her journey began on January 26, 1940, when she was born to Paul August Valdois and Florence Bell (Hylton) Valdois in Wellington, Kansas. Pauleta graduated from Dexter High School and later attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO.
On January 8th, 1961, she married her love, Ronald David Mickley. They began their life together in Evangelistic Ministry and later pastored in Scott City (KS), Pratt (KS), Greeley (CO) and Lawrence (KS). Pauleta loved to read, play the piano and sing, and teach and preach the Word. She loved walking outdoors, playing ball, and watching Jayhawks basketball. The lives she touched in her 78 years are uncountable, and she will truly be missed.
She is dearly loved and remembered by her devoted husband, Ronald; three daughters, Rhonda Maley (Michael), Paula Ireland (Jerry), and Jodi Pfadt (Hans); beloved brother, Jerry Valdois, and six grandchildren: Josiah and Charis Ireland, Hannah, Hans, Heidi and Hope Pfadt. Memorial gifts to assist African women training for ministry may be made to the Pauleta Mickley Women's Scholarship Fund / WAAST (Acct #288612 Class 50). Assemblies of God World Missions, 1445 N Boonville Ave, Springfield, MO 65802. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Funeral Services, Springfield, MO.

My heart goes out to all of you at Pauleta's passing. We loved her (and all of the Mickleys) in the Barker home! She was such a great presence at Clinton Parkway and we have many fond memories of all she did. Her ministry and genuine love for us has left a lasting impression! Please know that you are all in my prayers and thoughts at this time. Love you all so much!
