Genevee Marcine Shockley, 87, passed away on the morning of July 8th, 2018, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, Kansas. She was born October 24, 1930 in Purdy, Missouri. She was married April 7th, 1947 to Raymond Shockley. They were married 55 years until his death. Marcine was a talented artist, cook, member of the Red Hat Society, and one of the most talented quilt makers around. Mrs. Shockley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devout Christian until the end. She loved to boost about her family. Mrs. Shockley is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Shockley, son Jim Shockley, and daughter Judy Ruff. She is survived by her son-in-law John Ruff, grandson Brad Shockley, granddaughter Kaylee Boyd, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, Eudora, KS 66025. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora, with burial to follow at The Eudora City Cemetery.
