Jimmy Williams Obituary

Jimmy Wayne Williams, 73, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 in Greenville, Texas.

Jimmy Wayne Williams was born to the parentage of E. S. and Vernon Jackson Williams in Jacobia, Texas on Sunday, November 30, 1952.  He received his formal education from schools in the Greenville Independent School District.

While in school, Jimmy acquired an interest in boxing under the tutorage of Reese Davis and became a Golden Boxing Champion.  After high school, Jimmy enlisted into the United States Air Force, where he served his country well.  Jimmy loved spending time with his family and watching sports on television.

Loved ones left to cherish Jimmy’s precious memory:  a daughter, Olivia Williams; a granddaughter, Raniya Derrick; a sister, Diane Dean; four brothers, Johnny Williams, Jerry Williams, Curtis Williams and Bobby Williams along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E. S. and Vernon Jackson Williams; a daughter, Arintina Derrick; four brothers, Ivory Lee, Raymond, Leo and Andrew Williams.
