Clyde Russell Shipp, Sr. Obituary

  Clyde Russell Shipp, Sr., 77, of Lynchburg passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Wanda Carter Shipp.

Born on July 19, 1947, in Brookneal, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Shipp and Virginia Clay Shipp. He was owner/operator of Mr. Shipps pizza and subs.

He is survived by two sons, Robert W. Shipp and wife, Penny of Lynchburg, and Clyde R. Shipp, Jr. of Rustburg; six grandchildren, Tyler Dunkirk, and Corey, Carter, Nigel, Luke, and Jacob Shipp; one great-grandchild, Reese Shipp; and five siblings, Paul Shipp and wife, Shelia of TX, Richard Shipp and wife, Thelma of Madison Heights, Anne S. Maddox, Faye S. Adams both of Brookneal, and Gene Shipp and wife, Camy of Phenix.
