Donald Ford Obituary

Don passed peacefully on November 7, 2025, in the presence of loved ones after a long and happy life. He was a gentle and friendly man. He and his two sisters were born and raised in Vancouver. After graduating from Britannia High School in 1956, he met the long-time love of his life, Sonja (Sunny), while 18 years old and working in the sporting-goods department of Eaton's in downtown Vancouver, where Sunny worked. They were married on October 14, 1961. They moved to North Vancouver in 1969 and spent many years enjoying a busy social life and lots of travel, which included a month every year in Hawaii. Don worked as a manager for a sporting goods wholesaler in Burnaby for most of his life. After retirement, he and Sunny enjoyed many years together until her sudden passing in January 2016. He is survived by many loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly. There will be a celebration of life at his home in North Van, on February 21, 2026, at 2 PM.
