Jason Scott Hurst
Jason Scott Hurst, 40 of Lawrence, KS passed away suddenly on November 23, 2014 of an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Lawrence, KS on February 9, 1974. He was the son of Sheila Hurst and was employed at Wheatfields Bakery.
Jason was a dedicated son, father, partner and friend. His family and friends meant the world to him. His closest loved ones and all that met him saw his true loyalty, love and care for others. A generous man who always made decisions that was better for the bigger whole. A bright light went out but will never be forgotten. We bid you goodnight. Rest your beautiful soul Jason. We love you, but Jesus loves you the best…good night, good night, good night.
Jason is survived by his beloved mother, Sheila Hurst; life partner, Melissa Gaston; son, Kindred; grandparents, Ron and Joanne Hurst; uncles, Jay and Chris Hurst; and aunts, Traci Gabert and Aronda Hurst.
A visitation will be held at from 3 – 5 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
