Lance A. Ford
Lance A. Ford, 42, Lawrence, KS, died Saturday, December 14, 2013. Lance was born July 18, 1971 in Kansas City, KS and was a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest and University of Kansas with a Business Administration degree in 1993. Lance was a Branch Manager for Countrywide Home Loans in Lawrence. He was preceded in death by grandparents Genevieve Ford, Earnest Ford and Everett Ray. Lance is survived by his wife, Tammy, three sons, Sullivan, Clayton and Maxwell, three step daughters, Taylor and McKenzie Fruits and Lorrin McElroy, his mother and stepfather, Alberta and Mike Brown, his father, Roger Ford, a brother Ethan Ford and wife Brandy, 4 stepbrothers and their wives, Matthew and Kathy Brown, Patrick and Caroline Brown, Randy and Stacy Sharp, Scott and Mandy Sharp, his maternal grandmother Geneva Ray and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.
Memorial Services will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 7740 Lackman Rd., Lenexa, KS with the visitation from 4-5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Lance Ford Children's Education Fund in care of the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS 66215

If it weren't for Lance back in the 90s, we never would have bought our first home. He was a good person. God bless him & his family.

Lance was a great guy and greater manager. I enjoyed working with him on projects and daily business and am quite saddened to hear of his passing. My best goes to Tammy and the children.
