Wilma Jean "Granny" Breuer, age 73 of Basehor, Kansas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Burial followed in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 27, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kansas City Hospice House in care of funeral home. Jean was born on July 6, 1938 in Mack's Creek, MO to Walter and Violet (Newberry) Mock. She married her husband Robert Breuer on May 11, 1955 in Independence, MO. She was a loving wife and mother and was known to many as Granny. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Bob Breuer of the home, Kim McDowell and husband Mike of Linwood, KS., Steve Breuer and wife Sandra of Kidder, MO., Janice Brown and husband Basil of Basehor, KS., Glen Breuer of Basehor, KS., stepmother Sue Mock of Independence, MO., sister Roben Mock of Independence, MO., brother Randy Mock of Clinton, MO., sister Becky Lamb of Independence, MO., 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
