Rosetta A. "Rose" Brown

Rosetta A. "Rose" Brown, 75, Topeka, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at Midland Hospice House.

Rose was born April 10, 1937 in Neodesha, the daughter of Martin and Anna (Pfannes) Wernsman. She graduated from Neodesha High School in 1954.

She was employed by Land-O-Frost Meats in Indiana and later at Fritz Meats in Kansas City, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Erin) Brown, Jeffersonville, IN, Paul (Regina) Brown, Valley Falls, Debbie (Sid) Ziegler, Lawrence; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and a brother, Lawrence (Anita) Wernsman, Lee's Summit, MO.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Bucyrus. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6001 Bob Billings Parkway, Lawrence, Kansas 66049.
