Robert T. "Bob" Erickson, Sr.
Robert Thorval "Bob" Erickson, Sr., 91,formerly of Perry, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the Hickory Pointe Care center in Oskaloosa. He was born July 13, 1923 at Hartington, NE, the son of Kline Englebrext and Ellen Youngren Erickson. Bob served in the US Army for a short period before being medically discharged. Bob worked as a Construction Contractor for many years in the family business, Erickson Trucking and Seeding Company in Perry from 1966 to 1988. He was also a heavy equipment operator and farmer for many years. He was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church. He served as a Board member and past president of the Sergent Bluff, IA. Board of Education. He married Emma Jacqueline "Jackie" Gatewood in Wyoming on September 27, 1941, She preceded him in death on February 12, 2014. Survivors include one daughter, Lori and her husband Rodney Kukuk, McLouth, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Erickson, and Robert T. Erickson, JR, a grandson, Todd Erickson, three brothers and two sisters.
Inurnment will be at a later date at the Newman-Rosehill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Perry United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.barnettfamilyfh.com

So sorry to hear of his passing. Will always remember him and Jackie in the stands supporting their kids/grandkids in their sports! And now they are reunited once again. The family is in our thoughts & prayers during this time.
