Memorial services for Regina B. Cannon, 91, Lawrence will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hillside Christian Church in Wichita, KS. Inurnment will be in Wichita Park Cemetery. She passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Brandon Woods at Alvamar in Lawrence.
Regina was born August 3, 1925 in Wild Cherry, AR the daughter of Charles Ernest and Sarah Ellen (Shelton) Martin.
She was a homemaker and family was her priority. Her greatest joy has been her daughter, grandsons and their families. Regina had a very full life, full of family, fun, hard work and many exciting adventures. She was an active member of the Hillside Christian Church, Eastern Star and avid bridge player.
She married Lonas Cannon on June 23, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Cannon (Joe Sommer); two grandsons, Erol Kinkaid (Staci) children Mia, Enzo, Rocco; and Orion Kinkaid (Kate) daughter Parker; two nieces, Pat Martin and Phyllis Seidl (Dennis); great nieces, Keri Unruh (Cory) sons Boyd, Sawyer; and Lori Seidl (Chris); other family, Jenny Akers (Cliff) children Charlotte, Gillian, Sawyer. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the Hillside Christian Church and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Thinking of you all with sadness. My mother Ruby and your mom were the closest of friends. I have wondered often about Regina and how she was doing. I have admired her since I was young. May peace and love be with you and your family.
