Raymond C. Fleming
WICHITA - Fleming, Raymond C. Jr., 86, oil and gas investor, died Friday, July 17, 2015. Memorial Service will be Thursday, July, 23, at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Episcopal Church. Raymond was born in Wichita on Christmas Day in 1928 to Myra Fleming and Raymond C. Fleming Sr. He attended Wichita schools and graduated from the University of Kansas. He was an avid golfer and reader with an excellent sense of humor. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joanne, and son, Douglas. Survived by daughter, Lynn (John) Chartier, son, Mark Leslie, both of Wichita, KS and daughter Susan (Brad) Tate, Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, David, Maria, Andrew, Josh, Maggie, Amy, Alicen, and Sophie. Memorials have been established with St. James Episcopal Church, 3750 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67208 and Episcopal Social Services, 1010 N Main, Wichita, KS 67203. Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. Ray was a great friend to my father Jay Galloway and myself. Dad and Ray spent many days discussing the oil business and world news over coffee and playing hully gully for the bill. I was honored to be included in that group.

Ray was a mentor to me. He taught me many great lessons such as how to be a gentleman both on and off the golf course. I will miss him. Rest in peace my friend.
