I just learned of Maggie's death since I had moved out of the area and only recently returned. We met as PTA "moms" at Deerfield and she was such a fun, positive person who had natural leadership skills. Later, we reconnected while she was working on her SPL degree and I was working at the Life Span Institute at KU. I am very saddened by her death and my heart goes out to her family, to whom she was devoted.

It was an absolute privilege to work under Maggie's organized direction over the years at Deerfield Elementary. She led the PTA as president multiple years serving tirelessly in all she did. Her energy, enthusiasm, and insights made any occasion a lively one! Her friendly, out-going spirit will be truly missed. Praying for your family.
