Lyle Arthur Stemmerman
Lyle Arthur Stemmerman 80, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday Feb. 8th
Lyle was born May 8th,1934 in Lawrence, Kansas to parents Isabelle and Arthur Stemmerman.
He graduated from Liberty Memorial High School, and attended KU before graduating with a degree in Forestry from Colorado State University. Lyle married Anita Pontius in 1955 and worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He managed wildlife refuges in Texas, Oklahoma, Utah, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, and Missouri, retiring in 1989. He was an avid fisherman, and kept a lengthy list of lifelong bird sightings. Lyle is survived by his wife Anita, sons Steven, Lawrence, Brian, Woodenville Wash., David, Lincoln Nebr. Allen, Kearney Mo., a brother Larry, Lawrence, six grandchildren, Luke, Daniel, Ryan, Ian, Cole and Brynne and one great grandson, Aiden. Private services will be held by the family. Anita, My Mother Dottie Olson is very sorry to hear of your loss. She is in a nursing home now and is not getting out.
