So glad to have remained friends all of these years. My heart fell when I called and your phone was off...I knew. Seeya in the next life my brother & friend.

I was proud to call Bob my friend and my 'brother' for more than forty-five years. We began our friendship back in those turbulent early 1970's in Lawrence as we were growing into young adults and discovering who we were and the kinds of people we were going to be. We lived through and shared many experiences, events and friends which shaped us and fostered our similarly developing moral and political views. We celebrated one another's triumphs and joys as well as our tragedies and losses. As the years went by we came together more and more often to say sad farewells to the friends of our youth and share our memories of the glory years. We quietly witnessed the ravages of time on the other's body while reassuring each other we still remembered when we were young and strong and beautiful. Oh my dear, dear life-long friend, I will sorely miss you.
All my love to Kathleen and Bill. I am so sorry for your loss. As long as we can remember a part of him will remain in the world with us.
