Dear Brenda, Debra and family,
We just want to express our sorrow for the loss of your Dad, "Pops". While Jerry was living at BridgeHaven with our Moms, Ellie and Helen, we enjoyed some time with him also. We wish we had known more about him at the time to bring up some of the things he enjoyed and to hear him laugh.
One fond memory of him is being there during music therapy and seeing how he perked up at playing the claves. When asked if he wanted to play the claves, Gerry responded, "The What?". Both he and I learned that the sticks had a different name and we all laughed at that!
I also got tickled when I would do exercises with our Moms, and asked Gerry loudly if he wanted to do exercises with us, he would lift his foot a time or two, and be quite pleased with himself.
He was always pleasant and loved to watch what was going on in the family room, sometimes participating in whatever it was. I'm sorry it was so hard to talk to him without hollering, as he couldn't hear me well.
He is missed!
