He died Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Midland Hospice Care Facility in Topeka, KS.
David was born April 28, 1948, in Thayer, MO, the son of Lester Oscar and Lucille Watson Brewer. He graduated from Baldwin City High School.
He worked for many years as a Printing press Operator for Kansas Color Press and retired form Gates Bindery in Kansas City. For many years David played the drums for the local band Ann Brewer and the Flames. He had a love for music and he enjoyed visiting with the many friends he had at Arbor Court.
Survivors include a son Bryan Brewer, Baldwin City, seven grand children, three sisters, Barbara Edmonds, Lawrence, Ann Crosta, Anaheim, CA, Thelma Shay, Lawrence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Herman Brewer and Charles Brewer.
The family suggests memorial contributions made in memory of David made to Midland Hospice Care or American Cancer Society, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

David was such a joy to be around. He was a gentleman to the end and loved by all his Arbor Court Retirement Community friends. We will miss him so much.
