It is with great sadness that the family of Colin Peter Rowell announce his passing on June 20, 2017, at his home in El Dorado, KS. Colin was born to Albert and Margery (Brown) Rowell on June 24, 1962, in Ilkeston, England. Colin was united in marriage to Carol Marie (Griffitts) Rowell on June 20, 1992. The couple was blessed with the birth of their triplet daughters, Hanna, Shelby, and Sally on September 4, 1996. Colin's family moved to Lawrence, KS when he was five, where he attended school and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1980. Colin attended Kansas State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering. He also completed his master's degree in Agricultural Economics at KSU. Colin dedicated his professional career to the agricultural industry. He began his career with Kansas Farm Management and later transitioned to the banking industry. Colin recently found his way back to agricultural consulting with an opportunity to establish a new regional branch for Agricultural Resource Management, whose corporate office is based in Monroe, Louisiana.
Colin was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed relaxing at the lake, boating and wakeboarding. Colin was mechanically inclined and loved to restore vehicles. One of his true passions was flying. He was a licensed pilot and found great comfort flying and tinkering on his plane.
Colin was preceded in death by daughter Sally, and niece Mhari Rowell. He is survived by his wife Marie and daughters Hanna and Shelby of El Dorado, parents Bert and Marge Rowell of Lawrence; siblings Ian (Rhonda) Rowell of Lawrence, Gareth (Milissa) of Clever MO.; Alison (Jim) Nye of Lawrence; sister in law Silvia (Mike) Stratton of Rose Hill; brothers in law Jim (Shawna) Griffitts of Eureka and Rick Griffitts of Valley Center, along with several loving nieces, nephews, and great nephews.

This great guy God made was my dear buddy for many many years.
Colin and I met the day he started as President of the bank we both invested in.
I will never forget the meeting at the curbside of the bank when he pulled up with his wife and they opened the back door of the car and out jumped those sweet adorable triplet girls.
I could immediately tell of his love for his wife and beautiful daughters!!!
Colin and I spent hundreds of ours over the years meeting over business and visiting about our families and airplane talking.
We had identical planes that were built the same week at the Cessna plant in Wichita.
We traveled to Australia and New Zealand together to look at some ranch properties and seeing some of his relation who lived n NZ.
In the last year and a half we had deep spiritual talks over him seeing Sally
in eternity. He fully understood his relationship with Christ was the only way he could be sure of spending eternity not only with Sally but with his whole family .
I'm so grateful to our awesome Lord that Colin is now worshipping at His feet right beside sweet Sally waiting for the rest of the ladies in his earthly life to arrive with them in Heaven.
I'm anxious to reunite with him also when God calls me to my eternal home
Where I will reunite with my lovely granddaughter Maddie who went to heaven in 2006
Until then I will share Gods promises whenever the opportunity lets me.
