Beverly "Boo" Gibson
Graveside services for Beverly "Boo" Gibson, 90, Jewell, KS, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, KS. She died Monday, November 16, 2015 at Hilltop Lodge in Beloit, KS.
She was born on April 2, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Lloyd and Ethel Coonrod Gaines.
She graduated from Lawrence High School and attended KU for three years studying Occupational Therapy.
She worked most of her life as a secretary. She last worked at the KU Endowment Association in Lawrence, KS.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary American Legion, Jewell Christian Church, and Bible Study. Her hobbies included toll painting, reading, and visiting friends and family.
She married Carl Dean Gibson on May 19, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 14,
2007.
Survivors include three sons, Doug (Brenda), Waco, TX, Chuck (Judy), Jewell, KS and John, Topeka, KS; a
daughter, Debbie Lee (Glenn), Four Oaks, NC; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Hilltop Lodge Activities (Beloit KS) and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
