Becker, Robert Herman former President of Plains Petroleum Marketing, born in
Emporia, Kansas May 19, 1940, peacefully passed away Thursday, 11/16/2017. A Rosary will be held Sunday, 11/19/2017 at 6:30 pm and a Funeral Mass on Monday, 11/20/2017 at 10:00 am, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Hedwig Becker and son Robert Anthony Becker. He is survived by his wife Jennie, daughter Kristina Harvey (husband Jeremiah), sons Jacob St. John and Barry St. John (wife Silvia), brother Frank Becker, sisters Betty Timmerman and Margaret Jehle (husband Fred). He had 6 grandchildren, Paris, Alex, Sophia, Ezra, Veda and Olympia, whom he cherished dearly. Robert was an adventurous man who loved to travel, read books, and walk his dogs. He served his country as a Lieutenant Junior Grade Officer in the Navy during the Vietnam war. He was an entrepreneur in many businesses including bringing the Wichita Wings Soccer team to Kansas, an Executive Producer of two movies, and owned a music recording business in Los Angeles, California. He loved life to the fullest and was loyal to all he loved. May he be blessed in his new travels in the light of God. Robert, you will be truly missed, you were larger than life. Bethanne and I could not get enough of your stories. We are so grateful you planted the travel bug In us by showing us all the places you went to. Had it not been for you we would never have met. RIP my friend.
