Jeannie M. Andrews
Jeannie Marie Andrews, 83, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Fri., Jan. 11, 2013 of natural causes at the Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Memorial services were at 11 am., on Wed., Jan 16, at the Alden – Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. The family received friends at the visitation from 10 to 11 am., Wed. morning, prior to the service, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the St Luke's Stroke Center or the Wolcott Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
Jeannie was born Sept. 24th, 1929 in Leavenworth, KS. She married the love of her life W. Allen Andrews and raised three children. Jeannie and Allen enjoyed 62 years of Marriage. Jeannie is survived by her husband Allen Andrews; sons Jeff in Lansing, KS and Keith in DeSoto, KS; and daughter Heather Gumm in Bonner Springs, KS; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her siblings Helen Green of Moscow, Idaho; Jim Logan of Stephensville, TX and Donna Bartholow of Independence, MO.
Jeannie enjoyed staying busy, working with her antique shop and her garage sales were always popular. Spending time with her family at the lake was always a main part of her summers. She enjoyed working with flowers and was a charter member of the Bonner Springs Garden Club. She was involved over the years in numerous Community and civic groups.
