Frank Gene Martin

Frank Gene Martin died Nov. 17, 2012 in Pensacola, FL.

Born 1938 in Clarksville TN, he was the son of Lillie Mae and James Eugene Martin.

He was the beloved husband of Peggy, cherished father of Megan Martin Culig and Patrick S. Martin, and joyful Papa to grandchildren Martin, Caroline, Amy and Leah Culig and Henry Martin.

He served three years as an Army Lieutenant in Texas. He earned a BS in Pharmacy and an MS and PhD in pharmacology at the University of Tennessee. In 1968 he joined the faculty of the Kansas University School of Pharmacy, where he taught pharmacology and toxicology, and mentored a number of graduate students. He was chairman of Pharmacy Practice and Associate Dean. He resigned his position to move to Florida in 1987, and became a senior staff member of Baptist Hospital Pharmacy, retiring in 2006. He is survived by his wife, his son and wife Kathleen, his daughter and husband Michael, his grandchildren, his mother Lillie Mae Martin, and his sister Bettye Malone.
