Denny F. Dunivan, 85, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2013 while surrounded by his family at Olathe Medical Center. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am with the Funeral Service beginning at 11 am at the First Christian Church in Bonner Springs, KS, on Wed., July 3. Burial will be 11 am on Fri., July 5, at the at the Leavenworth Veteran's Administration National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Bonner Springs First Christian Church.

Denny was born on May 27, 1928 in Fairmont Station, MO and moved to the Bonner Springs area with his family at about 10 years of age. He grew up in the Loring and Bonner Springs areas and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1946. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving as a medic in the Korean War. He worked his entire career with Lonestar Industries. The later years of his career he worked in Ft. Lauderdale, FL as a Sales Manager. He was a member of the St. Joseph, MO V.F.W. He was also a member of the Bonner Springs First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his sister Geraldine Deay. And is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty Jean Dunivan of the home. Three children Carmen Tracy and her husband Gary of Leawood, KS; Richard Dunivan and his wife Joyce of Kansas City, KS; and Patrick Dunivan of Olathe, KS. 1 Brother Charles J. Dunivan and his wife Barbara of Linwood, KS and 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandsons.
