Bryce M Roberts
Bryce M Roberts, 82, of Leesburg, Florida, formerly of Baldwin City, Kansas, passed away May 6, 2014 in Leesburg, FL. Bryce was born October 26, 1931, in Snover, Michigan, the son of Floyd and Alberta (Ingram) Roberts.
He moved to Baldwin City in 1969 with his wife and family. He was an Agent with American Family Insurance Agency in Baldwin City from 1972 to 1984. Most important to Bryce however was that he was a devoted husband and loving father.
Following World War II, Bryce enlisted in the US Army, serving in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, and attained the rank of Command Sargent Major before his retirement in 1969.
Bryce was a member of the American Legion and VFW 40&8
On July 19, 1952, Bryce was united in marriage to Dolores A Conner. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2013.
He also is preceded in death by his parents; wife Delores; daughters Diana Roberts and Ronda Geddings; a brother Keith Roberts
Bryce is survived by his son, Gerald Roberts of Leesburg, Florida; and five grandchildren Brett Walking Eagle, Andrew Alexander, Scott Roberts, Jack Geddings, Kataya Geddings; sisters Margaret Thompson of Dekerville, MI and Muriel Thayer of Anaheim, CA.
Graveside funeral services were 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City.
