Jerome Lamaar Williams
A Celebration of Life Service for Jerome Lamarr Williams, 65, Lawrence will be from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Broken Arrow Park in Lawrence. He died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his home.
Jerome was born April 15, 1948 in Wichita, KS the son of Harding and Eloise ( Harris) Williams. He was a graduate of Leavenworth High School.
He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. While serving in the Army, Jerome received three purple hearts and one bronze star.
He co-owned Blues Brews and BBQ from 1992 until 1994.
He was a machine operator at ICL Performance in Lawrence until he retired in April 2008.
He married Margaret Austin on May 26, 1972 in Leavenworth, KS. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Monica A. Williams, Lawrence, Shonna M. Williams, Topeka, KS; two sons, Damien M. Williams, Lawrence, Greg Watkins, Eudora; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and two sisters, Barbara Tolbert, and Veatrice Williams, both of Leavenworth, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Donald.
