I met Stan and Frankie in 1973 when they picked me up at the airport. Worked with Stan until I was transferred to LA in 1978. That was five years and a thousand memories ago. We went from downtown KC to a great office in Overland Park. As I think back on my association with Stan I learn a lot and hopefully contributed to the success of the Zone as we made much progress in our mission of selling Oldsmobile. One of the first things Stan did for me was take me around usually at lunch time to a 100 gun shops as he wanted me to buy a shot gun. Finally, desided on a Browning Over and Under. Next I had to pass the State and National Safety courses and join the NRA. We went hunting a couple of times and I only fired the shot gun five times and still have the gun in the original box. There so many stories as Stan and I were very close during those five years. He was also known as "The ring Neck Pheasant" which was his CB name. He claimed along with Jim
Williams in Lansing as the creator of the famous "Rally 359". One time he ordered a yellow 98 and before he got it I had it decorated with the Rally 350 decals. He thought this was the greatest. After hsving been transfered and before I could move my family, my wife Nancy passed away and Stan was there for me and brought my friend Jack Hagarrity a dealer in Chicago to the wake.
Being a Catholic when I hear of a friend passing I send a Mass card so the prayers are said for the deceased person. I have a card for Stan and would like to send it to the family. May his soul as well as Frankr's rest in peace. Amen
