I was shocked to learn yesterday about Lois no longer being with us. I've been out-of-state for most of the past 3 years but worked with Lois from sometime around mid-90's as SRS Auditors located in the Credit Union 1 building next to Topeka High School ... until we both transitioned to jobs in the central office in DSOB [me in 1995 & Lois soon after] until I retired in 2015. There were more changes & moves but we still worked together since Lois worked with Budget & I worked with Medicaid federal financial reporting 19 years. Before Lois became the Budget Director, we used to frequently walk on breaks & one favorite choice was going to the Capitol which I called the "up, down & around walk." She was smart, dedicated, funny & just a super good person to know & work with. I know she'll be dearly missed by family & friends.

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my friend, Lois. I cannot attend her memorial service due to Ed's surgery in Wichita. I always considered Lois one of my best friends. Ed and I send our prayers and sympathy.

Laurie & family, I am so sorry. Lois was such a wonderful, funny, kind person. I learned the power of informal networking from her as she helped me get my first job. But mostly I remember her many kindnesses to us and her wicked sense of humor.
