Robert L. Temples Sr.
Robert L. Temples, Sr., age 69, of Baldwin City passed away September 7, 2013 at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab in Baldwin City. He was born on August 29, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Luther Temples and Allene (Cassell) Temples.
He was a formerly a resident of St. Charles, Missouri before moving to Linwood, Kansas and later Eudora, Kansas in 1990, before moving to Baldwin City in 2011.
Robert served his country by enlisting in the United State Army in 1964. He served for six years, including a tour in Vietnam, before his honorable discharge in 1970. During his military service he earned his expert rifle badge, national defense service medal and his Vietnam service medal attaining the rank of specialist fifth class.
Following Robert's service he began a thirty –eight year career as an over the road truck driver.
He is survived by his children; Jeannie Taylor and her husband, Nathan, of St. Peters, Missouri, Robert Temples, Jr. of Baldwin City, Kansas; grandson Robert Michael Taylor of St. Peters, Missouri; brother Rollin Temples of Rolla, Missouri; nieces, Dana, Lisa, Cheryl; nephew, Jeff; and his beloved dog and horse, Gracie and Stormy.
Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.

Bob was a great man I met him year ago. I new in my heart we were meant to be friends. I'm very glad I got to meet and him and have a beautiful friendship. I know he loved his children very much. His dog gracey. I hope Bob your next life will be as awesome as this one. I. Hope We. Meet again.

I'm sure going to miss Neighbor Bob; He was a good pal. Alerady miss hearing him yell "Hey, old lady!" when he called the horse. My thoughts are with you all.
