welcome home to those i love an those who love me... when i am gone, release me , let me go, i have so many thing's to see an do. you mustn't tie yourself to me with tear's , be happy that we had so many beautiful year's. i gave you my love, and you can only guess , how much you gave to me in happiness!! i thank you for the love each of you have shown, but now it's time for me to travel on alone. so grieve a while for me, if you must, then let you grieve be comforted by your trust. it's only for awhile that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. i won't be far away, for you see life goes on, so if you need me, just call me and i will come. though you can't see me or touch me, i'll be near, and if you listen within your heart, you will hear , all my love around you so soft and clear. and then, when you must come this way alone, i'ss greet you with a smile, and say "welcome home sweetheart" in loving memory of: BRENDON K. KASSELMAN <3

It's not how long you live or how long you serve - it's how you live and how you serve. I'm proud to have served together in the fire service.

I was fortunate to have met Brendon and worked with him at the HHW site for Johnson County, KS. I remember his big smile and quirky sense of humor, which we all enjoyed. I hated losing him to the Fire Department, but knew it was his passion! A life taken way too young, but he made a great statement of life when he was here. Take care family and friends.

Brendon was an excellent example of what “LIFE” is supposed to be. With his faith, spirit and dedication throughout the course of this devastating disease, he never gave up hope and most importantly his humor. He was wise beyond his years and I'm grateful for the lessons he has taught me – without even knowing he was doing so.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and close friends during this difficult time.
